"Cooling":
The world knew that the two countries with the strongest military was the United States and the Soviet Union, at that time. They both had strong nuclear weapons that could demolish whole cities. A war with these deadly weapons could possibly destroy whole countries, or even the world. President Kennedy had to be careful with his decision making. These two countries were on the brink of a nuclear war. Luckily, the two superpowers were able to negotiate on a compromise. If the U.S. took their nuclear weapons out of Turkey, then the Soviet Union would take their nuclear weapons out of Cuba. Following this, the Cuban Missile Crisis ended.
